The Student Loans Company provide fees and funding support for the students. It is a key responsibility of Student Administration to ensure that a students registration (to release student funding to the student) and attendance (to release student fees to the University) are completed as quickly as possible once the student has enrolled.
Under Welsh Assembly rules we are unable to confirm attendance for a new entrant until we have physically seen the student. We base this on the production of an ID card, students may therefore have to wait into their second week before receiving an ID card. The process for returning students is simpler and we will confirm them if they have enrolled and term has started.
